Have you a strong background in Site Carpentry and a passion for sharing your knowledge and skills with others?

As a busy vocational College in the heart of Stockport, we wish to recruit a motivated individual to deliver site carpentry across levels 1-3 to our diverse range of students. 

Courses available at Stockport College include City and Guilds Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and a Multi Skills course in Construction which are part of the vocational element of a Study Programme. A current knowledge of delivery and assessment methods for City and Guilds is desirable.

The ideal Candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Level 3 in  site carpentry qualification.
  • A teaching qualification.
  • Assessing qualifications.
  • Recent industry experience or evidence of current CPD.
  • Apprenticeship background.
  • A passion for teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team ethos.
  • Experience of working with young people (desired).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively and to take responsibility for Course administration.
  • Level 2 or above in English and Maths.
  • The ability to deliver a good to outstanding lesson.
