Lecturer in Site Carpentry

Have you a strong background in Site Carpentry and a passion for sharing your knowledge and skills with others?

As a busy vocational College in the heart of Stockport, we wish to recruit a motivated individual to deliver site carpentry across levels 1-3 to our diverse range of students. 

Courses available at Stockport College include City and Guilds Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and a Multi Skills course in Construction which are part of the vocational element of a Study Programme. A current knowledge of delivery and assessment methods for City and Guilds is desirable.

The ideal Candidate will be able to demonstrate the following

• Level 3 in  site carpentry qualification
• A teaching qualification
• Assessing qualifications
• Recent industry experience or evidence of current CPD
• Apprenticeship background
• A passion for teaching, learning and assessment
• Excellent communication skills and a team ethos
• Experience of working with young people (desired)
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively and to take responsibility for Course administration
• Level 2 or above in English and Maths
• The ability to deliver a Good to Outstanding lesson
