Are you a Tutor looking for casual / ADHOC work?

The Manchester College is the largest further education college in the UK. With our focus on careers and a work-ready Greater Manchester, we are creating greater opportunities in the heart of our city and leading the way in education. 

We are looking for a number of sessional / bank staff tutors to cover a variety of subjects in our Creative Arts Department on a temporary, sessional (ADHOC) basis. These positions would ideally suit those in between contracts or teaching privately. Hours would be required to be covered in the daytime and would suit a tutor that works evening and weekends and available at short notice. 

Dance Tutor

  • Ability to cover a wide variety of genres of dance including Commercial Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, and Physical Theatre.
  • Experience of performing and teaching in the industry is essential, must be current and flexible.
  • ISTD Modern syllabus knowledge would be desirable. 

The purpose of these roles is to teach and engage with our learners, in order to give them the skills they need to have a better and brighter future. 

To do this successfully you'll need:

  • To be passionate and experienced at delivering high quality teaching in a subject specialist;
  • Industry experience;
  • A teaching qualification and/or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale;
  • Previous experience of curriculum delivery and a track record of successful learner outcomes.
