Creative Support are looking to recruit an Apprentice Payroll Assistant to join their team based in Stockport.
Responsibilities:
Stage 1
- To carry out general administrative duties, including, spreadsheets, photocopying, filing, mailings, and sorting correspondence.
- To assist in the maintenance and periodically review the paper filing systems of the Payroll Department, to ensure a well co-ordinated and efficient system of storage, location and retrieval.
- Management of incoming time sheets to ensure they are all logged in and filed correctly.
- Assisting Payroll colleagues with resolving queries.
- Call answering and logging on to the Customer Care system.
- To provide high standards of service, quality and customer care.
Stage 2
- To be responsible for managing the mailboxes on a regular basis.
- To liaise with employees and projects to ensure that correct information is received prior to the payroll process.
- To answer queries regarding payments and related matters, and produce reports as required.
- To organise computer files and document referencing on the network, in a logical manner consistent with in-house systems.
- To regularly archive files in accordance with company procedure.
Stage 3
- To assist with the set up & processing of new starters.
- To input data from time sheets onto the payroll system accurately and timely to set deadlines.
- To calculate and input statutory payments.
- To process personal details changes and contractual changes in the system.
- To process leaver forms, including annual leave calculations.
- To assist with reporting and checking of data to ensure accurate payments are made.
Other
- To accept regular support and supervision from line manager.
- To carry out all work in a manner consistent with the aims and principles of Creative Support.
- To comply with and to implement the Equal Opportunities Policy of Creative Support.
- To maintain confidentiality at all times, in accordance with the agreed policy.
- To identify own training needs in discussion with line manager and to attend training events and courses as required.
- To observe any written policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice agreed by Creative Support.
