The Funding & Information Systems department are currently seeking an Information Systems Development Officer.
The purpose of this role is to lead the development and maintenance of all reports and other relevant custom functionality relating to the College’s management information systems. This will include the reports needed to prepare and monitor the data needed for statutory returns and external stakeholders. The post holder will manage other staff who are involved in the development of reports and custom development which is not web-based. They will also work in collaboration with staff involved in web based developments. There will be a requirement to undertake second and third line operational support for the systems, processes, reports, interfaces and other functionality provided by the Information Systems Team. The post holder will also participate in projects to implement new systems, reports and other functionality as needed, including leading projects or aspects of projects as required. Other responsibilities include advising staff on information system matters, the investigation and analysis of business issues and dealing with ad hoc requests for data.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9-4 including English and Maths or equivalent and possess an A level or equivalent qualification in a computer related subject. You will also be required to have a Supervisory/Management qualification or willingness to achieve and have experience of using and supporting information management systems in an educational environment.
