We are recruiting for a full time staff member in Welding and Fabrication.
You will have diverse experience in all technical and theoretical aspects of welding and fabrication including a good practical working knowledge of industry-standard equipment, knowledge of the full time qualification base and apprenticeship structure pertaining to the area would be beneficial from levels 1 to 3.
Equally as important, you will be able to work as part of the curriculum team, offering input to a range of generic metalworking studies including Health and Safety, Workshop Practices etc. The opportunity to use initiative will be ever present.
Experience of working in an educational environment will be beneficial and the college will expect you to achieve the essential teaching and assessor qualifications as necessary.
As well as teaching our learners, there are a number of organisational and administrative responsibilities within the role. These include close liaison with other departments in the College such as Admissions, Finance and MIS as well as Awarding Bodies and organising External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits. You will maintain appropriate records and selection and information events for all courses you deliver.
