Assistive Technology Development Officer
Bradford College are looking for an Assistive Technology Development Officer who will provide advice, guidance and training to staff and students across college on the use of Assistive Technology. The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Assistive Technology Loans Service, which services both the Further Education and Higher Education student body, as well as for researching and trialling the latest innovations in the use of assistive technology and ensuring disabled students transitioning from secondary to FE and from FE to HE have the correct hardware and software in place to meet their needs.
The postholder will provide a specialist referral point for staff (teaching and service areas), prospective students and external agencies as well as support the wider work of the Department of Disability Services and Additional Learning Support.
A solid foundation in IT, an awareness of a range of disabilities and/or learning difficulties, as well as excellent customer service skills are essential to this role.
