Night Warden (40 hours per week, 36 working weeks per year)
Moulton College is looking for 2 Night Wardens to join our wardening team to support and supervise students during the evenings and overnight to enhance the safety of our student community. You will be committed to the active promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion and be able to demonstrate where you have ‘made a difference’ to young people.
As part of a broader welfare provision you will work on the basis of a 4 nights on; 4 nights off rota during term times. Typical working hours with include the following;
- Shift 1:
- Sunday – Thursday: 15.00 – 02.00
- Friday: 14.00 – 01.00
- Saturday: 13.00 – 00.00
- Shift 2:
- Sunday – Thursday: 21.00 – 08.00
- Friday: 22.00 – 09.00
- Saturday: 22.00 – 09.00
You will ensure the positive engagement of our residential student community of circa 330 students in a range of activities while adhering to our Safeguarding duties as a waking presence during the night. You will have previous experience of working unsocial hours and be self starter who is committed to working to high standards and the welfare of young people. A full driving licence is required with this role as you must be able to travel across the site, and in rare cases may need to provide transport to people e.g. undertaking student activities, though you do not need your own vehicle as the college has a fleet of cars/minibuses available.
