Equine Yard Technician

40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 days 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

Shared Farmhouse accommodation + food allowance + reduced livery + BHS training

The Equine Yard Technician will support the Equine Department in providing an outstanding and safe experience for students, commercial users and ensure a high standard of horse welfare. The role supports the senior members of staff in the day to day running of the Equine Unit, assisting with the supervision of students whilst undertaking practical tasks and supervising student liveries. The post holder will also assist with the running of commercial events and external bookings throughout the year.

We require a team player who has the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students and maintain our professional standards. The successful applicant will be provided with the opportunity to work towards improving and developing their riding ability within two staff development lessons per week. The accommodation comprises of a single occupancy double bedroom within a shared recently refurbished farmhouse situated on-site. Facilities include a large communal living room, kitchen and garden with parking. A pre-paid meal card is provided for use at food outlets around the campus.
