Join the largest Further Education College in the UK as our new Assistant Chef Manager/Assessor.
- Support the effective management of the of the catering element of the facilities management deliver the highest quality services for all external / internal business partners.
- To provide and support in the management of a sustainable food premises, with a supportive responsibility for budget management, purchasing stock, stock control, menu planning, food preparation and service management.
- Ensure compliance with Hospitality and Catering management legislation, best practise and actively maintain and update professional development.
- Facilitate a supportive training environment for learners.
- To carry out assessments of candidates in the workplace in accordance with awarding body requirements.
The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. Rated Good by Ofsted we provide education and training to a wide range of learners. As directed by the Head of Department and Chef Manager you will implement and operate College policies and procedures within legal framework, by effective management of the catering element of the Village 135 to meet College and Village strategy, business plans and objectives.
In order to do this, you will need:
- Willing to work towards a relevant management qualification.
- Level 2 Catering qualification - willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification.
- IOSH.
- COSHH and HACCP / SFBB knowledge would be desirable/
- A1 assessors award or willing to work towards.
