Human Resources Officer

What makes JTL the leading work-based learning provider in the building services engineering sector? Ask the 6,000 apprentices who rely on us across England and Wales. As a charity, we also reinvest all our funding in apprenticeship training.

As part of a busy HR team you will provide a high-quality HR service to JTL using expertise to advise managers and employees on a wide range of employment issues. This will involve more than handling recruitment and maintaining accurate records. You will keep abreast of changes in employment legislation, carry out a variety of strategic projects, deal with issues relating to long-term absence and help the HR manager run an efficient and responsive HR function. We will also rely on you to identify ways to improve performance and make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures.

Ideally a member of the CIPD, you will have proven hands-on generalist HR experience and a good working knowledge of Employment Law. Excellent administration and time management skills are, of course, essential - and your good IT skills will extend to Word, Excel, mail merge and Outlook. Payroll experience would be a definite advantage.

In addition to an attractive salary, there is an excellent benefits package that includes training and development, an occupational pension scheme, 25 days annual leave and BUPA.
