Course Leader in Counselling

CU-Coventry are looking to recruit an inspirational individual to the position of Course Leader for Counselling within CU Coventry. The individual sought will have already demonstrated a range of academic and administrative skills in a Higher Education environment and will have first-hand experience in leading programmes. You will be abreast of the future HE landscape and will have demonstrated innovative practices with regards teaching, learning & assessment across degree courses, as well as contemporary course design to meet changing markets within the area. In addition, you will be an outstanding tutor, able to demonstrate a contemporary knowledge of Counselling practices within this diverse field.

Teaching, curriculum development, attendance and monitoring of students through their courses, promoting student success and progression through active participation in departmental events, workshops and examination boards and the production of course, programme and annual quality reports. We are looking for an individual who can lead the area through successful accreditation for professional bodies, such as BACP. Within the institution you will alongside a number of other middle and senior managers promoting the reputation of the Counselling department and the institution as a whole and there may also be a requirement for you to participate in teaching or academic development within the CU-Group in general, which involves collaboration at centres in London and Scarborough.
