Are you able to inspire and instruct learners on the theoretical and practical skills needed in the countryside industries? Then we are looking for you. We have an opening for a self-motivated lecturer whose knowledge base includes practical estate management skills such as fencing, laying footpaths, hedge laying, forestry, installing access points, use of machinery for habitat management, plant science, ecology and how this all applies to wildlife and conservation in the UK. You will also need excellent industry and scientific knowledge which compliments and encompasses nature conservation.

You will be comfortable instructing learners from schools to Higher Education in the classroom, workshop and in the field, be a great communicator and have real passion for the subject. As a lecturer you will need to be able to handle the paperwork and technology side of teaching including; planning and delivering outstanding lessons, embracing E-Learning and setting and marking assessments and coursework to a wide range of learners. This is a demanding and highly rewarding role and if successful you will join a vibrant and passionate team who are dedicated to providing an outstanding learning experience.

The successful candidate will need practical experience in their chosen field plus teaching experience in a practical and/or classroom setting and show proof of a minimum Level 2 qualification in maths & English. You should also possess a minimum of a Degree level qualification in a relevant area.

In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also need a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Support is given to those who wish to train and as they work for the qualification, staff will receive a bonus of £600.00 in the third year and £750.00 in their fourth year, providing they have successfully gained their full teaching qualification at Hadlow College.

As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, this post also attracts 7 weeks holiday each year, excluding bank holidays.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK.  Where applicable a prohibition check will be carried out.
