Boston College is looking to recruit an Assessor in Supporting Teaching & Learning in PE & School Sport. As an Assessor you will be responsible for agreeing learning aims/outcomes taking into account competence of the learner and their individual needs. Delivery of workshops will also form part of the role.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working within PE and Sport within a school setting or someone with a PE and Sport background to share their skills and knowledge with staff employed specifically to delivery and promote PE & Sport within Primary Schools.

Taking responsibility for your own caseload of learners, you will carry out regular assessments against the qualification using a variety of assessment methods and ensuring quality and credibility. You will provide guidance and monitoring in accordance with quality procedures and awarding body standards and produce action plans to include the plan and programmes of assessment, feedback and timescale for delivery. You will be based at the main campus in Boston, however as part of the role you would also be required to work from our campus in Spalding as well as travelling to schools across the local area to meet with learners and employers.

You will have excellent organisation and communication skills and be able to work on own initiative.

You must hold a foundation degree or degree relevant to supporting teaching and learning in PE & School Sport. Preferably you will also be qualified or working towards an Assessors and/or Internal Verifiers qualification.

For an informal discussion, please contact Craig Gosling on (01205) 365701 ext. 3509.

Interview date: Wednesday 18th October 2017.
