SCHOOL LIAISON & EVENTS COORDINATOR

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work as part of our dynamic and professional marketing team.

This exciting role will focus on helping us to forge and develop excellent links with Schools and Colleges across the Northwest where you will be at the heart of helping to organise and deliver a range of effective and engaging recruitment events and activities.

You will be confident in establishing relationships with schools, colleges, employers and other agencies to effectively deliver the recruitment targets of the college. This will include undertaking presentations to prospective students, representing St Helens College and our brand values at school liaison, college liaison, careers events, employer and student focused events, assisting in organising College taster days, open days and other related student recruitment events.  

In addition to some office-based tasks such as dealing with enquiries, arranging college tours and taster days, working on enrolment and recruitments events, you will also be required to work off site which does include some evening and weekends. This work will include, but is not limited to visiting schools and colleges, delivering presentations to large groups of students, attending exhibitions and community shows and events. 

Dealing face to face with prospective students and a range of stakeholders, you will be providing a range of IAG (information, advice & guidance) on College courses. You will need to be articulate, confident and professional. 

You should be motivated, organised, have plenty of energy, show initiative, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, often to tight timescales. This job is full of variety and you will need to be able to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks.

Ideally, applicants will need to hold at least a relevant level 3 qualification, have experience of working with young people and an understanding of the post 16 curriculum including apprenticeships. Own transport is essential, as the role requires travel and working across the Northwest.
