Plumbing & Gas Technical Trainer/Assessor
We are looking to appoint a Technical Trainer Assessor in Plumbing and Gas. You will plan, prepare and undertake training and assessment activity in a College training facility or in a learner’s place of work.
Within the role you will develop assessment procedures and opportunities that are directly linked to the scheme of work, deliver training where required and assist students with action planning and recording achievement. Setting and marking assignments and examinations both for internal progress monitoring and external certification, you will liaise with awarding bodies as required whilst identifying opportunities for functional skills evidence to be generated from main programme/workplace activity. Maintaining records, attending meetings and working with your manager to identify training needs, you will undertake development of the curriculum to support and work with colleagues to improve and develop courses.
We are looking for someone who ideally has an Assessor/Verifier awards (A1/V1) although we can support you in gaining this within an agreed timescale and also a training/teaching qualification. You will need to have Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to undertake with appropriate support, and an appropriate level of qualification in Plumbing and Gas. It would be advantageous if you hold the Gas Safe accreditation.This is a full time role and will require some travel to employer sites.
