Associate Lecturer in Physics

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Art, Science and Humanities at Bradford. The successful applicant will have a first degree in Physics or a related subject with experience of successful teaching in either the FE sector or in schools.

You will be expected to teach physics across the curriculum in the Sixth Form Centre and the Access to HE programme area. You should therefore have experience of teaching physics to 16-18 year old students and/or experience of teaching adults in an FE setting.  Within the Sixth Form Centre, you will be expected to teach mainly GCSE and A levels so experience of this will be essential.

You will be expected to carry out associated administration as well as undertaking curriculum development as required.  You may also be expected to take on a course leader role with its associated responsibilities.

Excellent communication, team working and IT skills are essential and applicants should be working towards a recognised teaching qualification if they do not already possess one.

A check with the disclosure and barring service will be undertaken for this post.

Bradford College is an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
