Derby College has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and supportive individual to join our busy schools' liaison team.

The 14-16 schools' liaison area provides a wide range of support and facilitation to ensure effective communication and liaison between 14-16 curriculum delivery, our partner schools and their students.

As Schools Liaison Officer you will develop positive relationships, seamless transition and successful outcomes to positive post-16 destinations. In addition to schools' liaison, communication and administration, support to the wider 14-16 team includes; responsibilities for monitoring student attendance, conduct, welfare and safety. A clear understanding of the importance of safeguarding and knowledge of safeguarding practice are crucial for this role.

A collaborative, business partner approach to supporting cross-college 14-16 curriculum delivery and contributing to the overarching 14-16 cross college strategy are also key requirements.

The successful applicant will have excellent numeric, written and verbal communication skills and be a proficient IT user. The proven ability to work and liaise with people at all levels, as well as engage with and relate well to students of all ages, abilities, background and cultures is a fundamental aspect of this role.
