Light Vehicle Teacher (0.7 FTE)

There is currently an opportunity for candidates with significant vocational experience to join the team teaching our apprentices and full time learners. It is essential you have experience of training, instructing, or teaching others.  Ideally you will have a level 5 teaching qualification, although the College is happy to support the right candidate in moving into a teaching career and gaining two requisite qualifications.

The successful candidate will be required to teach on Light Vehicle at Levels 1-3 and should be familiar with City and Guilds/IMI light vehicle mechanical modules.  They will be passionate and innovative, and committed to ensuring a positive experience for students and providing an effective and stimulating learning environment for our students. This role will require excellent communication and organisational skills coupled with a strong commitment to develop the potential of all learners.  Candidates must have: 

• Level 3 Qualification in Light Vehicle Engineering
• Level 2 Qualification in Maths and English or willingness to work towards with the support of the College
• Level 5 Teaching Qualification e.g. PGCE/Cert Ed/DTTLS/DET or equivalent or willingness to work towards within two years of starting in employment
