The International Study Centre located on the University of Sussex campus is looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, organised, self-motivated individual with great communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative and be a proven team player.
This is a fast paced environment and the successful applicant will have previous experience of tutoring or counselling students working in an academic environment. Experience of using data and reporting systems and the ability to work to deadlines is also required
This is a role dedicated to personal tutoring. The main responsibilities of this post are to ensure that students are on track for progression to the university by monitoring their performance, co-ordinating with the subject tutors and liaising with the welfare officer and Lead personal tutors regarding attendance or welfare issues. You will also be required to provide advice and support to students on the university experience and other support systems available.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, advanced Microsoft skills and experience of working with a student management system. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and grow your career.
