Plymouth College of Art is looking to recruit an Academic Librarian. We are looking for a vibrant individual who is a team player. The successful candidate will have background subject knowledge of Art, Design or Media as well as a Library qualification or working towards one. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in an academic library. The department offers a variety of services and facilities, the individual
will be expected to work across different tasks and perform them to a high level of consistency.
The candidate should have experience teaching digital and information literacy to class sized groups, being able to demonstrate the resources with confidence and ease. As part of the remit for the role is to select Ebooks and create EChapters, the individual needs to have a comprehensive knowledge of Copyright Legislation within an educational setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the off air recording and be responsible for the upkeep of the departments blog. Knowledge and experience of either of these would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
