Human Performance Laboratory Demonstrator

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Applied Sports Science teaching team at Hartpury University Centre. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Human Performance Laboratory coordination as well as delivery across a range of lab-based sports science modules with a physiology underpinning. Furthermore, supporting staff and student research projects will be a key aspect of the role.

Experience of working in a Sport and/or Exercise laboratory, whilst performing technician duties, is essential for the successful post holder. It is also a distinct advantage to have experience of teaching/supporting higher education students. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, have excellent administration skills and a willingness to engage with external partners and industry. Our academic Sports Science team has a strong relationship with the Hartpury Sports Academy, Gloucester Rugby Academy and British Weightlifting Federation, to name a few, and as such, you be will expected to ensure that sports students have access to excellent vocational learning experiences within the laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification, and demonstrate a willingness to develop a record of practice and research in Sport and Exercise Science. In addition, accreditation, working towards, or willingness to work towards BASES Supervised Experience (or other relevant accreditation) would be distinctly advantageous.
