The Manchester College TUED team is based at St Johns campus in the city centre, with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. You will be expected to teach both on and off site. We are the largest FE college in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

As a Tutor in Trade Union Education you will support supervision of your curriculum area by ensuring that you meet budget, quality and
operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner focused education to trade union members and partners across all industries.

In order to do this, you will need:

  • a teaching qualification is preferable, if you do not hold one, you must be willing to achieve one.
  • English & Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
  • Track record of effective teaching in delivering in subject specialism
  • Plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.
  • An excellent knowledge of the trade union movement
