Entry and Level 1 Lecturer
We require an enthusiastic, highly committed and knowledgeable Entry & Level 1 Lecturer to make a major contribution to teaching, curriculum development, training and the management and support of our students.
As a member of our team you will:
- Establish and deliver a coherent and appropriate curriculum for Entry and L1 students and lead the teaching and learning activities;
- Make a contribution to the teaching and assessment of a range of courses including functional skills;
- Have the ability to provide effective classroom management;
- Have enthusiasm and affinity for working with Entry & L1 level students and support them to fulfil their potential.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Ideally has previous teaching experience in a range of Entry & L1 courses;
- Has an understanding of Entry and L1 learner needs;
- Is educated to a degree level and possesses, or is willing to work towards a teaching qualification;
- Is able to plan, prioritise and work using flexible student centred approaches;
- Has a commitment to high standards of teaching and pastoral care;
- Has excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and time management skills and able to plan and prioritise work effectively;
- Is caring, supportive, sensitive and encouraging to individuals who lack confidence in an educational environment, and help them achieve their potential.
