Oaklands College, situated in picturesque grounds in the heart of St Albans, is looking to recruit a self-motivated and innovative Lecturer to teach across a variety of areas of art and design.

Art, Fashion and Design enjoy an excellent reputation and consist of a highly motivated team. Students’ progress to a range of highly respected Art institutions; achievement and high grades are well above national averages.  The enrichment, community projects and exhibitions; both locally and nationally are inspiring.  The range of provision covers Level 1 to Level 4. The department has moved into new, purpose built Art facilities with designated specialist workshops in 3D, Ceramics, Photography, Print, Painting, Fashion, Textiles, Graphics and Interactive media including top of the range Mac facilities.

We need a dedicated teacher who can continue to add to the established, excellent practice in the area, teaching predominantly Graphic Design.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of teaching Graphics and possess strong organisational skills to coordinate and guide other teachers in the department.
