Web Developer

New City College is the largest college in east London, with 20,000 students studying a range of subjects at our three sites.

We are now recruiting for a Web Developer to join our marketing team based at our Tower Hamlets campus, next to Canary Wharf.

You will take ownership of digital feature ideas from concept through to digital research, wireframing and prototype stages and be involved in all stages of the development life cycle. You must have a good understanding of information architecture and coding.

You need to possess a strong working knowledge and experience of wireframing tools, web platforms and languages including Wordpress, Drupal, HTML, Photoshop, Adobe, CSS, PHP, SCSS, Java, Javascript, MySQL, XML, API, web-based and mobile application programming and social media technologies.

This is a new post as we are building a new marketing team to deliver a more integrated and strategic marketing service.

You must have significant developer experience to be able to hit the ground running in this role, allied with a degree in computer science or multi-media. Experience of working in the marketing industry either client or agency side would be beneficial.

You will need to possess good organisational and planning skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
