Lecturer in Automotive Studies
If you have a strong background in Automotive Engineering, and you love to share your skills and knowledge with others, then a job at Wakefield College awaits.
About the department:
We have superbly-equipped motor vehicle workshops at our Castleford Campus, for courses in motor vehicle/motorcycle engineering and body repair and refinishing. The students love working in this environment, especially as they get to use the latest technology on real vehicles from a regular client base. And you’ll be joining a team of lecturers who have a wealth of experience, from working in vehicle maintenance and repair to race teams and specialised vehicle support.
Wakefield College has also invested heavily in developing an Advanced Skills and Innovation Centre (ASIC), which is a purpose Higher Education learning environment that will transform skills training in the District, and Engineering will have a significant presence there.
All in all, it’s a fantastic place to learn for students, and a great place to come and work.
About the role:
It’s a typical lecturing role where we’ll expect you to be fully committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure our students achieve their full potential. Specifically, you’ll share your knowledge and experience of automotive engineering on a range of courses.
More about you.
If you’re passionate about your industry, are motivated and can inspire others, and you have an excellent track record of planning and delivering education or training, then you’ll fit right in.
