Mental Health Nurse

An opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse contribute to the provision of an integrated, effective and professional wellbeing service for Further and Higher Education students. You will assess, plan and deliver direct patient care to students in accordance with College policies and professional nursing practice. You will also effectively liaise with multidisciplinary team members (to include counsellors, tutors and safeguarding and wellbeing officers) and external agencies where appropriate. 

The successful candidate must hold a Higher National Diploma or Degree in Nursing Studies/Mental Health andhave a good understanding of the theories of mental health and illness. Experience of using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for depression and anxiety would be desirable.
