Communications Manager

At this exciting time of expansion for the College, we are seeking to appoint a Communications Manager to manage, enhance and develop the College’s online and media profile - leading the College’s web-based activities and all areas of the press, social and broadcast media.

The postholder will have responsibility for internal and external communications for the College, especially the Internet and the College’s website - promoting and building the reputation of the College by enhancing existing provision. He/she will take charge of the day-to-day operations of website, media, news, events and outward-facing aspects of communication, and also work with the press, broadcast media and a wide range of audiences and stakeholders. Tasks will also include overseeing a range of activities including event preparation, filming, webcasting and transcript editing. His/her presence will be required at lectures and events and help in setting up may be required. Evening attendance is likely to be up to 2 evenings per week and time off is given in lieu.

Excellent IT, media and communication and organisational skills are essential as is the ability to use initiative, work under pressure and demonstrate good attention to detail.
