Hourly Paid Trainer/Assessor in Logistics, Supply chain and Procurement

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated individual to the role of Hourly Paid Trainer/Assessor in Logistics, Supply chain and Procurement.  This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of the curriculum, which boasts continued learner success and achievement.

St Helens are the Centre of Excellence on Merseyside for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).  This area is expanding with plans to develop the curriculum to include Chartered Institute of Logistics (CILT) qualifications.

There are approximately 56,900 workplaces in England who operate in freight transport activities employing around 552,000 people in operational roles and around 23,000 people in supervisory roles. These services are part of a wider logistics sector which employs around 8% of the workforce in England and provides many opportunities to move into jobs and training within and across the sector.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of existing CILT provision and the planned introduction of CIPS.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have CILT membership (MCILT)
  • Hold a first degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject
  • Ideally have CIPS membership (MCIPS)
  • Have experience of working within the Logistics and Supply Chain sector
  • Ideally have experience of working in Procurement
