Lecturer in Education (ITT)
We are looking for a creative, skilful and enthusiastic person to teach on Education and Initial Teacher Training courses within the Initial Teacher Education Team. Applicants will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of programmes such as Certificate in Education, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Learning and Skills Sector), City and Guilds courses such as Award and Diploma in Education and Training as well as other courses within this rapidly developing area of work.
You will also be involved in the Teacher Training Observation process. You will possess a Master’s in Education or other relevant subject and a teaching qualification, along with a proven grade 1-2 teaching profile. Ideally you will have experience delivering ITT programmes and carrying out lesson observations.
The post holder will ensure the needs of our learners come first and that every learner will be provided with opportunities to achieve their full potential within a safe, stimulating and supportive environment.
You will be required to deliver high quality learning and teaching ensuring that you are maintaining standards expected by the College, awarding and professional bodies, industry, stakeholders and learners. You are expected to develop appropriate teaching techniques and materials which enable all learners to achieve their full potential and take account of educational initiatives.
There is an expectation that you will work effectively with colleagues (academic and support services) both within the Faculty and across the College, developing a teamwork ethos, that will enable the achievement of clearly defined objectives. Contribution to Partnership working is an expectation of the role. Teamwork and partnership working are seen as key College approaches.
You are expected to use initiative and creativity and contribute to the overall development, promotion and success of the College, Faculties, Academies and teams, both internally and externally.
