Head of Academic Practice

Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
A key opportunity has arisen at Perth College UHI for a Head of Academic Practice, due to the retirement of the current post holder. Working closely with staff and managers in the College, in UHI and in the wider education community, the post holder will lead and take forward key evaluations, developments, policies and best practice in learning and teaching to enhance student outcomes across all of our curriculum.
The Head of Academic practice will mentor and support staff in their professional development, and work to take forward appropriate opportunities and support structures for this. This includes leading capacity building in the development of early research and scholarship coordination within the College, leading our Learning and Teaching Leaders, and ensuring adoption of best practice in embedding equality and diversity in the student learning experience.
