An experienced lecturer in ICT is required to contribute effectively to the successful learning experience of students in the College through effective teaching that meets or exceeds College standards and results in high levels of student retention and achievement. You will teach effectively on a range of College courses and programmes as well as make a significant contribution to curriculum development and course co-ordination.

The ideal candidate will essentially have a degree in Information and Communication Technology or a related subject or have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience. Ideally you will be a member of the Institute for Learning and have a teaching qualification and subject specialism or to gain these within the permitted time period.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of course structures, learning approaches and assessment, as well as organisational skills in programme planning and delivery.

The ideal person will be an excellent team player with good communication and presentation skills. You must also have excellent administration skills. He/She will have the ability to motivate others and demonstrate flexibility in working practices.

You must have good IT knowledge/skills and the ability to use a wide range of teaching aids, including ILT as applicable.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.
