Business Development Adviser
About the College
Worthing College is a very popular college with over 1600 students. Our recent Ofsted inspection judged us to be ‘Good’ in every respect. Our mission is ‘to inspire, build confidence and prepare you for the life you want to live’. This is underpinned by our strong desire to become outstanding in the near future. Above all Worthing College is a very friendly place with a strong sense of purpose, where teaching, learning and student success are second to none.
Background to the Post
Worthing College has ambitious and achievable targets to expand and further develop its work offering apprenticeships and support services to employers. We will continue to focus our apprenticeship business within the areas of Business Administration, IT Application and Sports Activity Leadership.
To assist us in achieving these plans we have created a new part time position (working over two or three days per week in the first instance) for a Business Development Adviser (BDA).
The BDA will be an outward facing role. With a flexible approach to your working hours much of your time will be spent outside the college with local employers. You will be responsible for responding to enquiries, generating leads, answering questions and providing advice and guidance on the apprenticeship system, the levy and other new developments. You will also be expected to promote the college through and participate in local employer forums such as the Chamber of Commerce or other business groups.
