This is an exciting opportunity to join our diverse Student Support Services as our Student Welfare (Well-being) Advisor. You will deliver high quality support to students through both informal assessments of emotional well-being needs, advising and referring to specialist external/internal services when appropriate. 

You will also develop and deliver a range of workshops/online information for both staff and students on emotional/mental health issues. To provide a comprehensive service to current and potential students regarding emotional well-being. This will involve supporting individual students, facilitating peer support groups and co-ordinating Mental Health Awareness Initiatives.

Educated to a degree level or equivalent with an appropriate professional qualification/experience in a relevant health or social care discipline you will be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will also be highly organised, have a positive approach to your work and be well-motivated, reliable and trustworthy.

It is anticipated that the interviews will take place on Thursday 6 July 2017
