This post is a 2 year fixed-term contract, where you will be expected to work 37 hours per week.

The post holder will work proactively and creatively to organise activities within targeted schools and colleges in Herefordshire and Shropshire. You will be supported by a small steering group from both HLC and HCA, with the University of Worcester (UW) taking the strategic lead for the project.

You will be a flexible, highly motivated individual with appropriate experience of working in recruitment/widening participation in a School/College/University context, as well as event/project organisation and community liaison. You will ideally posses an Information, Advice and Guidance Level 4 qualification.

This will require excellent communication and organisational skills, flexibility and a commitment to removing barriers in the education of young people.

This is a new post, jointly managed by Herefordshire and Ludlow College (HLC) and Hereford College of Arts (HCA), and funded by the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) through the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE). This is a highly targeted and collaborative outreach programme focussed on working with Years 9 -13 pupils from Herefordshire and Shropshire, which have lower participation in higher education than expected.

Interviews: Friday 16 June 2017

HLC is committed to safeguarding including the Prevent Duty and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects all staff to share this commitment.
