The IT Service and Support Team Leader will play a vital role in helping to shape the IT department in conjunction with your line manager. Your primary task as Team Leader will involve managing the current 1st and 2nd line support teams to ensure services are delivered within agreed operational levels. Additionally, you will foster a supportive, inclusive and flexible environment for a highly productive team.
As the Team leader of a small number of engineers and apprentices your thorough knowledge of Windows desktop, servers, software and networking technologies will be of prime importance to the success of the team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and have experience of guiding and mentoring junior engineers. It is essential that you incorporate continuous improvement in your work and have a desire to meet or exceed service targets. Initiative, customer focus and the ability to prioritise under pressure will help ensure the team continue to provide a highly valued service to the College.
