London South East Colleges is a major provider of specialist programmes for learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities within the South East London area.

Our SEND department at our Bromley Campus has an excellent reputation for delivering personalised study programmes in our fully accessible facilities to learners with diverse needs.

We are looking to appoint an experienced individual to teach a variety of subjects that develop both independence and employability skills within our discreet SEN provision.

The successful candidate may be required to work across any of the London South East Colleges sites.

If you want to be part of our outstanding team, you must be enthusiastic and creative in your approach to the curriculum and also be able to deliver non-curriculum based activities including enrichment/leisure and enterprise.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong and extensive background in working with young adults 16-25 with a wide range of learning difficulties including complex needs, MLD, ASD, visual impairments and communication difficulties. They will also have experience of using various strategies and aids to support and engage the students, including the use of visual resources and augmentative communication devises.

A relevant teaching qualification, English and Maths at Level 2 and a relevant SEN qualification would be desirable.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.
