Assessor/Trainer in Engineering

The post holder will work as part of the lecturing and assessor team overseeing and potentially assessing full time and part time learners mostly in the workplace. They will be expected to oversee training and complete assessment for learners predominately undertaking BTEC Diplomas and EAL NVQs (at levels 1-3), in practical engineering activities in the machine workshop, where learners and apprentices develop machining skills including milling, turning, fitting, and assembly and maintenance principles. A contribution to the development of underpinning knowledge relating to the assessed skills would be assumed as would be the advice and guidance of candidates on the requisite documentation requirements for recognition of their competency.
