Welding and Fabrication Lecturer

Bank hours – flexible, Based at The Welwyn Garden City

We are looking to recruit an outstanding lecturer in Engineering to join the team. The successful candidate would be required to teach on Welding courses, including Apprenticeships and units on our Level 2 and 3. Our largest provision is BTEC Diploma and HNC/D and we also run an Extended Degree programme with University of Hertfordshire. We have a large number of students and apprentices who attend on full time and day release programmes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent Welding and Fabrication skills and a qualification at a minimum of Level 3, including MIG, TIG and ARC. An assessor qualification is desirable but not essential.

You should have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice and experience of teaching, or working with young people. You will have a genuine regard for young people and want to work with us to ensure that all our students aspire to do well. You will demonstrate and professional standards in your area of work. The ability to work in a team is essential, sharing good practice and working collaboratively with colleagues are qualities that we will be looking for.

This is a growing area and the knowledge and experience of professional Engineers is essential to the development of the industry.
