Deputy Education Manager
We currently have an exciting opportunity within Novus, for a self-driven and enthusiastic individual to join as a Deputy Education Manager within HMP Haverigg.
As directed by the Education Manager, the purpose of this role is to effectively plan and manage the deployment of staff and resources, in line with Novus policies and procedures, to deliver a high quality learning Experience and Deputise for the Education Manager in their absence.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to) are as follows:
-Effective day to day planning and management of staff and resources
-Deploy staff in line with financial planning, high quality delivery and maintenance of an effective pool of staff
-Ensure the implementation of the quality assurance framework
-Recruit, develop and maintain a flexible, qualified and experienced delivery team
As a successful candidate you will have:
-A teaching qualification - Minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
-A degree or equivalent
-At least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
-A track record of effectively employing quality assurance tools
-A track record of evaluating and monitoring course provision
-Current relevant teaching experience
-A track record of effectively responding to challenging behaviour
