Associate Course Leader - Digital Advertising and Design (0.8)

Ravensbourne is looking to recruit an adaptable, innovative industry-experienced lecturer to join our fast growing Digital Advertising course. The successful candidate will join the team in influencing and developing the course. She/he will have worked in the creative industries (minimum 5 years +) within the area of design / art direction and should be able to demonstrate some experience of lecturing within Higher Education.

She/he will contribute to the learning and teaching for the three year groups of the BA (Hons) Digital Advertising and Design course. This exciting BA involves engaging with digital and emerging technologies and audiences. Key areas within the curriculum include communication design, ideation, content creation and industry practice.

The successful applicant will have a degree in a relevant subject, with good industry experience (both creative and academic) in advertising and design, with excellent organisational and management skills. Evidence of the development of projects demonstrating compelling digital experiences and advertising campaigns consistent with marketing strategies and brand guidelines.

Individuals will be expected to have current knowledge and skills in digital design, including emerging technologies, accompanied by a clear understanding of the technical and professional requirements of the future communication design industries. The ability to deliver and develop innovative curriculum, utilising a variety of different teaching methods, is essential.

Successful applicants will have a knowledge and ability to demonstrate and support the use of hardware and software across multiple platforms used by
designers working in a digital environment.
