This is an exciting opportunity for a Clerical Assistant to provide maternity cover within Registry Department within Coventry University College (CUC).
CU Coventry has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Clerical Assistant. We are looking for a highly organised individual to contribute towards the efficient operation of the Registry and Admissions Department within CU Coventry.
This will involve acting as the first point of contact for students and visitors to Registry, resolving queries and signposting students where appropriate to relevant processes, information and contacts. In addition this individual will be responsible for supporting the Registry and Admissions Department throughout all aspects of the student life cycle and will also be responsible for a monitoring a number of processes including extensions, deferals, exam board preparation, and Disclosure and Baring Services (DBS) amongst others.
This is a demanding and hands-on role that requires an enthusiastic and innovative individual with outstanding support and administrative skills. You must be able to think on your feet, work independently but also as part of a team. The ability to decipher and interpret regulations and policies is crucial.
You should have a good general education, excellent IT, communication and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure being essential for the role. You should also have experience of working within a busy office environment, ideally in Higher Education or in a previous administrative role.
This post is for fixed term contract for 6 months and the position will be reviewed at the end of the contract.
You will be expected to work 36.5 hours per week.
