Leeds College of Art has played a central role in providing specialist education in art, design and the crafts for 170 years and has developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students. This is an exciting and dynamic time in the College’s strategic development. The Privy Council recently granted the College Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) and we are now working towards becoming the first specialist arts university in the North.

The Admissions team are part of the College’s Academic Registry department which also includes quality and standards, HE and FE course administration, and planning and management information areas. These areas have a high level of interaction and it is important that there are effective working practices and relationships between them.

The Admissions Manager is responsible for ensuring the team of admissions administrators provides a professional and proactive service to applicants and staff. They are responsible for promoting change and supporting new ways of working within both the team of admissions administrators and the Academic Registry. The role will also be required to initiate and implement enhancements to service delivery and the customer experience.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or an equivalent academic or professional qualification, have extensive managerial experience, as well as knowledge and experience of admissions processes and procedures within the education sector.
