Lecturer in Animal Management (FE)

We are looking to appoint a new member of staff to join a dynamic team, teaching students on our Further Education animal-related courses at level two and three. The successful applicant will be driven and self-motivated and integral in maintaining the high standards set within the department.  You will need to have a thorough knowledge of a wide range of animals and have good links with industry; we would particularly welcome applications from those with experience in animal science, specifically associated Chemistry and Biology, and/or those with specialisms in zoo, wildlife, training, canine or welfare areas of the industry.

You will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. You will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy Animal Management, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

Ideally, you will possess an HND or equivalent qualification in Animal Science/Management or a related subject and have a teaching qualification, although this is not essential and if our chosen candidate does not have a teaching qualification, our comprehensive staff development scheme will support this.
