We are currently seeking Assessors to work within the Business and Health and Social Care Programme Areas at Boston College and would love to hear from you if you have skills in one or more of the following areas:

• Dental Nursing  
• Pharmacy 
• Medical Administration
• Clinical Health 
• Business Administration 
• Customer Service
• Management 
• Retail 
• Digital Marketing/Sales & Marketing

You will be primarily responsible for supporting apprentices through their chosen apprenticeship programme and will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) in the relevant subject area or have the required experience to meet the awarding body standards. An appropriate assessor qualification is desirable, however training and support will be given to the right candidate who has excellent professional skills and knowledge.

As Assessor you will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, tracking and completion of relevant assessment activities to meet the awarding body criteria, which will include agreeing learning aims/outcomes that take into account the competency of learners and their individual needs. Taking responsibility for your own caseload of learners, you will carry out regular assessments against the qualification using a variety of assessment methods and ensuring quality and credibility. You may also be asked to deliver or facilitate workshops or training sessions to help learners with certain aspects of their course. A major part of the role involves working with employers to ensure the quality of apprenticeship and work based delivery by Boston College is maintained to the highest quality and developed according to employer needs.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisation and communication skills and be able to work on own initiative. A driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.

There is currently a requirement for two Assessors, full time and part time (18.5 hours). Please state on your application the hours you would be interested in and the area/s you have the appropriate qualification/ experience for.
