The role:

Provide leadership, direction and support to a team of staff in Advice & Guidance, Customer Service, Retail and Contact Centre, coordinating activity to ensure high quality provision for learners and employers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating curriculum that is employer focused and in demand ensuring high levels of quality, excellent customer service and innovation to support growth within the sectors.
  • Lead, motivate and inspire a team of Trainers, Tutor Assessors and IV’s holding regular curriculum/subject area meetings.
  • Achieve Work Based Learning (Wales & England), Skills for Industry 2 and commercial targets as agreed with the Line manager.
  • Deliver on and hold a caseload of learners in line with curriculum clusters.
  • Assist in the recruitment, induction and supervision of new staff.

About you:

  • Teaching and learning qualification e.g. PGCE or willing to work towards
  • Commercial knowledge, experience and understanding of industry, including training needs
  • Knowledge of working with labour market intelligence to identify and drive new business opportunities

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to a start date before 1st February).
