Work Placement Officer

About the role:

City and Islington College, Camden Road Campus, are looking for an outstanding Work Placement Officer with a proven ability in supporting young people.

The purpose of this role is to effectively source and secure work experience placements for full-time learners. You will engage with employers, curriculum areas and full-time learners, to ensure that the preparation, delivery and evaluation of work placements are meaningful, relevant and sustained to a high quality and ensure that learners are well prepared.

We are always looking for ways to improve the work experience  provision, ensuring it is relevant and student-focused.   Developing student employability skills is a key aspect of the role and we have established a high-quality support programme for those seeking alternatives to university.

About you:

You will have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, at least two years’ experience in a similar working environment and a track record of securing work experience placements.

Experience of working with external agencies in relation to identifying vacancies and matching these with suitable candidates. You will have experience of working with young people.
