Apprenticeship - Learning Support Assistants

Fixed term for 18 months. We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to provide in-class learning support for students whilst working towards a Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship.  

These varied and interesting roles involve supporting the needs of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities across all areas of the College’s delivery. You would assist learners to access the curriculum through encouraging, motivating and developing strategies to support learners, and support students to manage their own behaviour.  

You will need to possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to engage and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. You will preferably have some experience of working with young people, and of supporting people with learning difficulties/disabilities. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and able to work across both Harrow Weald and Harrow-on-the-Hill Campuses.
