Thank you for your interest in the role of Principal for Luminate Education Group's sixth forms. We are seeking a Principal who will lead and support the growth of our 1,000 place sixth form in Leeds and the development of Pudsey Sixth Form, due to open September 2024.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will put our students and staff at the centre of their work. At Luminate, we are proud to offer an inclusive sixth form with our provision including a range of A Level, vocational and GCSE resit pathways for students.

This is an exciting time to join Luminate Education Group following our successful Ofsted inspection in May 2022, where our FE Colleges were graded as Good with Outstanding features.   We were recognised for our passionate and expert staff and our work with regional stakeholders to implement education programmes that best fit local employment opportunities.

Our main base is Park Lane Campus, a  15 minute walk from Leeds Train Station.  Leeds is a city at the heart of the action, bursting with life and cultural energy.  A vibrant creative community, with award-winning national theatre and dance companies, a world-class arena, and a thriving independent food scene you won’t find anywhere else.

We are looking  for an ambitious leader with vision and integrity, who will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Sixth Forms going forward.  You will help us to create and support a working environment that celebrates diversity and delivers equality of opportunity for all staff, students and other stakeholders. It is an exciting time to join us due to the development of Pudsey Sixth Form which allows you to be at the forefront of bringing  change and ensuring we deliver an outstanding learning experience to our new students in that area.

We want to hear from outstanding leaders who have proven success within a sixth form leadership role preferably working closely with the executive team and governing bodies. You will have an understanding of the challenges and areas of growth within the 16-19 education provisions and a strong sense of academic and professional best practice. We are seeking someone who has driven and managed change successfully as well as ensuring staff are motivated and receptive to the change. You will have experience of managing budgets, resources  and staff to ensure we deliver the best outcomes possible for our students who are at the heart of what we do. Furthermore, you will be able to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.

We are a great place to work with a warm and inclusive atmosphere existing between our students and staff. Our benefits package includes 37 days annual leave plus bank holidays. In addition, we offer up to 5 discretionary closure days across the year. Option to join a generous  pension scheme (Teachers Pension), discounted travel and the option to apply for a car parking permit as well as numerous other benefits.

If you are looking for your next challenge and want to make a real difference in the lives of the students and the communities we serve in then look no further and press the apply button.
